Every Women's Biennale: “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”
Mille Kalsmose participated in the exhibition "Every Women's Biennale - I Wanna Dance With Somebody" with her artwork "Re-programmed Matter."
The biennial invites artists from diverse backgrounds and mediums through a democratic open call, encouraging cross-pollination across generations and ethnicities. The salon-style exhibition features painting, photography, installation, sculpture, video art, textiles, and multimedia works, enriched by performances, dance, music, poetry readings, theater, and film.
The 2019 theme "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" embodies a fusion of female artists spanning various mediums, generations, and ethnicities, representing diverse social backgrounds. Functioning as a hybrid art festival, exhibition, cooperative, laboratory, and incubator, our mission is to create opportunities for emerging and established artists to mutually elevate each other.
"Re-programmed Matter" is exhibited alongside artists such as Marilyn Minter, Mickalene Thomas, and other exceptional artists.
