Every Womens Bienale - “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”

Mille Kalsmose participated in the exhibition Every Womens Bienale - “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” with the art work Re-Programmed Matter.

The Biennial engages artists, through a democratic open call, to cross-pollinate with each other from a variety of mediums, generations, and racial and ethnic backgrounds. The salon-style exhibition features painting, photography, installation, sculpture, video art, textile, and multimedia works, activated by per- formance, dance, music, poetry readings, theater and film.

The 2019 theme “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” will be a cross-pollination of female artists across mediums, generations, and ethnicities from a multitude of social backgrounds. As a hybrid art festival/exhibition - cooperative/laboratory/incubator - organizing platform, our mission is to provide opportunities to emerging and established artists to elevate each other.

Re-Programmed Matter is shown a long side artists such as Marilyn Minter, Mickalene Thomas and more fantastic artist.
